Dr. Holmberg is a board certified clinical veterinary ophthalmologist and has extensive training in both basic and applied research. He has published over 10 peer reviewed manuscripts, contributed chapters to several renowned veterinary textbooks, received prestigious research grants, serves on review boards for numerous veterinary journals, and provides continuing education lectures for veterinarians, veterinary students, and veterinary technicians throughout the United States.

He is an active member of the American College of Veterinary Ophthalmologists where he has served on the Examination Committee and has been a board member of the Vision for Animals Foundation.

Dr. Holmberg's special interests include exotic animal ophthalmology and all aspects of ophthalmic surgery, specifically corneal surgery.
